Help sponsor Mina one of O.B.C.'s amazing Vampire Bats A colony of over twenty common vampire bats was transferred to the Organization for Bat Conservation from Chicago Zoological Society’s Brookfield Zoo. The zoo needed to reduce the size of their colony due to overcrowding and behavioral issues. The new additions are settling in well after a long drive to their new home. The colony is quite diverse with ages ranging from as young as 1-year-old to almost 30 years of age. All are in good health and are going to be extraordinary ambassadors, teaching people about the benefits of bats. We feed them donated bovine (cow) blood twice daily. Your sponsorship will help provide Mina and her roost mates bedding, cage furniture and supplies to help enrich their environment, as well as support educationg people about these uniquie animals.
